A HISTORIC DESTINATION
The Mile Away Restaurant has been charming guests in its cozy post and beam barn with wide pine floors and fireplaces for over 50 years. The building was originally a farm built in 1746—one of the early settlements of the town of Monson, NH. The farm is located one mile away from Monson rock which was the location of the village meeting house. In 1967, two gentlemen from Switzerland converted the farm into a restaurant. In 1996, the Murphy family purchased the restaurant. The Murphy’s continue the tradition of offering a classic European four-course menu in a casual atmosphere.
